Found this site with several interesting animal sculptures.
Here is the link to the website
And here is an example of one of the animals.

Design Shout-outs #2 and #3
So now that I actually understand what the design shout-out assignment is...
And even though I am a bit late for posting these, here are my shout-outs.
Color Schemes:
City
I know this piece has a combination of both warm and cool colors, but I think they way they are arranged, as well as the shapes in the piece make it a very interesting design.
This piece makes me think of a large metropolis ablaze... Kinda morbid.
Textures:
weird metallic faces
I love the strange metallic texture that the artist's combination of colors seems to give the face. Despite the abstract nature of this, I feel as though I could just reach out and feel the smooth face.

Here are my two Quote projects.
The first is a wood texture that I found online. I had a good quote about living life and no regrets that had an element of time travel to it. So I decided to reference Doctor Who for this one.
My second one is the texture I found myself. This texture came from a picture I took of cardboard.

Here is my design shout-out.
Thought the splicing of Star Wars characters into famous paintings was clever. This one I thought was the best of the works.
Work by artist David Hamilton

So... The first project.
I spent some time playing around with various designs, most of which I thought weren't very good. This was further cemented by the fact that rarely did others seem to recognize the emotion I was trying to portray.
Finally, I settled on this design I created for "Stress"
Initially, the lines were horizontal, and only on one side of the circle. Then I added lines to both sides, and made them vertical. In the end, I settled on a design where the lines were rotated at a 45 degree angle.
In hindsight, when I look at this piece, it feels somewhat unbalanced...
